Purpose
  • Serves as the "UI Core" similar to the Rails Core.
  • Provides a set of UI components for use in Flexmls user interfaces.
  • Provides documentation and examples of UI Elements.
  • Provides the theme for Flexmls UI, including:
    • Icons
    • Colors
    • Layout/spacing values
    • Typography
  • Provides the build process that deploys shared assets (CSS, JS, icons, etc.) to the CDN for shared hosting.
  • Helps increase the consistency of user interfaces across all Flexmls products.
Using the UI Library
  • The library can be used to create or redo the UI for entire pages.
    • If used within existing pages, care should be taken to ensure UI other than that being created/reworked still looks and functions as expected.
  • Use the generated manifest to assist with including CDN assets in projects.
    • For details about how to use the assets and manifest in projects, see the project README.
  • If something isn't available in the library or needs to be changed, please consult with the Design Team (Travis, Paul) about your requirements.
  • For questions/discussions about the UI Library, please use Slack#ui-dev
Notes

See the project README for technical details.

See the project CHANGELOG for the history of changes.
